Registering

Students who have completed their graduation or are current US MD or DO students can enroll themselves for the exam. All you have to is is visit the NBME website (National Board of Medical Examiners). Students who are non-US medical school graduates can visit the ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates)website and register themselves.

Scheduling: Once you are done with the registration procedure, you have to opt for the type of exam you are wishing to take. For example- Step 1, Step 2, Step 3. Once your registration is processed both by ECFMG/NBME, you will receive a scheduling permit. The permit will consist of instructions on how you can get started with the appointment procedure.
